With record-breaking temperatures in the 90’s and 100’s my garden and I were miserable! It was so hot! But finally it’s over and I can breathe again with little damage to the garden. We are back to a cool mid 60’s. That’s more like it.
Now it’s time to begin decorating for Halloween, and what better place to start my Halloween Garden than the 42nd Annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival. Half Moon Bay is a wonderful coastal town off of HWY 1. It is also a great place to buy rose bushes from the local growers while you’re there. So many things to do and so much good food to eat plus don’t forget the pumpkin weigh off. The winner last year was over 1700 lbs!. The kids love it. Don’t miss the giant carved pumpkin or getting your picture taken with one of the largest pumpkins ever, fun for everyone and pumpkins to be had by all! October 13th-14th.
